Slow and steady, who doesn’t love a turtle? Long lived like his “real life” friends, the turtle on our mailbox will bring a smile to everyone that passes by.

Painting techniques and hand carved details join together to bring the Turtle mailbox to life.

A Turtle for each side is made out of exterior pine plywood and cedar, with their shells and Turtle features carved in and hand painted. A standard, U.S. Post Office approved mailbox is hand painted with an underwater scene using quality exterior, acrylic, enamel paint. Then the Turtles are attached to the sides and a wooden base plate is added for post mounting. This mailbox has a cedar door panel for a finished look. If you want a house number on your mailbox, a wooden plaque can be attached to the front of the door panel with your house number painted on it. As a final step, multiple coats of polyurethane varnish are applied for a protective coating.
